Education Programs Associate
The New Victory Theater seeks a dynamic, highly organized, self-motivated team player with interest /experience in Theater for Young Audiences and arts education.
A project of The New 42nd Street, The New Victory Theater is New York City’s first and only full-time performing arts theater for kids and families. The New Victory presents a season of adventurous multidisciplinary works, and the education programs combine to create a unique artistic and learning experience that complements development by using the performing arts as an educational resource for students, teachers and families.
Responsibilities include: supporting and scheduling teaching artists for public education events, departmental budget tracking, and working as part of the team to plan conferences and special projects.
· BA plus 1-3 years’ administrative experience, preferably in performing arts or related field
· Excellent computer, communication and collaboration skills
· Methodical, precise attention to detail and excellent organizational proficiency
· Knowledge of Theater for Young Audiences, event management, and customer service experience a plus
Ideal candidate has a blend of experience in performing arts education, arts administration, budgets/tracking, communication and editing skills. Must be able to work in a fast- paced, deadline-oriented and collaborative environment. Some weekend and evening hours required.
